Mechanical or Electrical Failures are not inherently Emergency Situations, but if extended or left unchecked, can cause Emergencies (i.e. transformer box that malfunctions and begins to smoke). Normally, they are inconvenient and cause temporary disruption to Building and Tenant Operations.

If widespread Electrical Failure occurs (Blackout), or a Mechanical Failure which causes a Fire or Explosion, follow initial actions for “Blackout,” “Explosion: Mechanical” or “Fire/Smoke”.
